ARCHOS43 The Archos 43 has the same processor, puny RAM, and 8GB of flash memory a the Apple's iPod Touch, but for $20 less. Unfortunately, the Archos 43 has a screen resolution of 854 by 480 pixels-significantly lower than the iPod Touch's resolution of 960 by 640 pixels.
PHILIPS GOGEAR CONNECT 3 The GoGear Connect 3 comes with a 3.2-inch, 480-by-320-pixel display, but Philips is suspiciously close-mouthed about the device's processor and RAM. With a budget-friendly $180 price, this player is unlikely to be a big step up from the iPod Touch.
SAMSUNG GALAXY PLAYER 5.0 An extra-large Android player, the 5-inch Galaxy player 5.0 has a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. But it retails for $270, and its display's resolution {800 by 480 pixels}is considerably lower than that of Apple's iPod Touch, which now sells for $199.
SONY Z SERIES WALKMAN curently available only in Japan, the Z series Walkman has some impressive specs, including a 4.3-inch, 800-by-480 pixel screen; 512MB of RAM; a 1GHz processor; and at least 16GB of storage. on the other hand, it's relatively expensive at $365.
